Sauces Best Remake of the Veggie Patch Pizza
My take on the Applebee’s Veggie Patch Pizza!
Who remembers this delicious appetizer item from their old menu. By the way it is a secret BUT they
will still make it for you if you ask them to.
Most of the copycat recipes you see online are ok, and closer to Applebees original. This recipe
is mindblowing and builds a much tastier layering of flavors.
For the crust for instance, I used Red Roasted Pepper large Wraps. I then toasted them layered.
Its one shell, then mozzarella cheese then another shell.
Once those melt and toast. Bring them out and add your layer of Pesto.(My pesto recipe is below)
The next layer is your Bechamel Sauce. I made mine infused with the items you will find listed further down the page.
Next step:
Spinach
Diced tomatoes
Diced onion
Ringed onions
chopped mushrooms
The cheese goes on last on top of the veggies.
Let it back till cheese melts.
Top it with melted cheese full of Oregano, Minced garlic and dried Basil leaves.
Peanut based Pesto:
Peanuts
Fresh Oregano
Fresh Mint leaves
Fresh grated Parmesan
Olive oil
Pepper
Power Greens Mix
Granulated Garlic
3 tablespoons minced garlic
1 spoon of Salt
3 spoons dried rosemary
drizzle of Balsamic
Bechamel Recipe:
Nutmeg
Sour Cream (Only because I was out of cream and milk, normally use that)
1 and a half cups water
Flour
Minced Garlic
Lemon Juice
Butter
Arugula Sauce(one small jar found at Gourmet Italian Grocery stores)
Pizza toppings:
Mozzarella
Pesto
Beschamel
Butter Sauce (when you serve)
Tomatoes (Diced)
Onions chopped and ringed
Mushrooms(chopped)
Enjoy. It is soooooo goood!
