Trinity’s 16th Birthday Feast
So we actually went out to dinner at St. Cecilia ATL in Buckhead on the actual day of her birthday. However, I cook my kids favorite meals for them on their birthdays. I started that back in like 2013 and I have continued it to the best of my ability each year as long as they are actually at my house lol.
Trinity requested my Braided Bacon Crusted Salmon and Seafood Rolls (my take on the lobster roll)
Things You will need to create this dish
A fish knife ( to take the skin off the salmon) and also to cut each whole, fileted salmon into three long strips. Be careful leave about and inch or 2 at the top UNCUT (think of that as the hair scalp if you will wear your braid would begin from)
You’ll want to then braid the salmon and tie the end of the braid shut with your butcher’s twine.
One you have done that season it with:
Oregano
Parsley
Old Bay
Old Bay garlic and butter
Fresh made bacon bits (cook it first then grind it in a processor)
Cilantro
Zaxbys sauce
Mustard
Karo Syrup
And Lime Juice
Garlic
Garlic powder
For the seafood salad mixture for your seafood rolls:
Old Bay
Ranch dressing or Miracle whip, whichever you prefer
Dill
Cilantro
Basil
Sugar
Salt
Old Bay
Green Onion chopped
Season and chill
Garlic Powder
Serve in small sub rolls that you have butterered, split and then warmed in the oven.
For your thick fries:
Cover in Old Bay and Salt ( I cut mine into large wedges , from large Russet potatoes)
Also served with delicious fresh yellow sweet corn on the cob!
And there you have it, the Birthday feast fit for your harshest critic.
