Cooking For the Week ending 10/30
Hey guys! This week was an interesting cooking week for me.
I made a late night Pasta dish fit for the God’s followed by a day or comfort Food cooking for a customer who had
a specific menu she wanted me to make ( customer is also my granddaughters mother ) She came picked up her orders
and was delighted. But at any rate….
The Pasta:
The pasta was so simple to make yet so delicious. Id say it took me a total of 30 min to complete the dish.
The base is dry box Spaghetti.
The for the sauce:
Half cup heavy cream.
1 roll of country sausage ( broken up)
1 whole jar of Pesto
Steak and Meat Seasoning
a little dash of Tony Sachere’s
light salt and lots of butter
and light olive oil
also cherry tomatoes , some sliced some whole
garnish with dried Parsley
then mix all ingredients together for one Fabulous dish , top with Parmesan.
Yummy!
Next…. THE CUSTOMER ORDER:
She requested
Smothered Turkey Wings
Banana Pudding
Spicy stew ( I made spicy chicken and catfish stew and it was SPICY)
Curry Cabbage
and Sweet pea and rice mixture
For my meats I slow cooked both, One in my Oster slow roaster ( the stew)
and the wings covered in foil in a foil serving tray in oven)
As you can see from the pics I used lots of peppers, garlic, onion, butter , seafood and Cajun seasoning as well as oranges and a lovely also I used All Spice and Curry seasonings.
Asian sauce similar to Worcester but with a citrus twist.
I used Flour to thicken both my stew and my smothering gravy for my Turkey Wings.
For my Banana pudding aside from the normal recipe I finely chopped about 12 bananas down to a smoothie consistency and added them to my pudding mix.
It was a long day of cooking but it ended up great after getting off to a really late start due to Storm Zeta knocking my power out for about 6 hours.
Anyway Its Halloween weekend! Everyone stay safe, wear your corona masks , wash your hands BUT have fun!
Me and my daughter are dressing as cheerleaders lol!
