Babes First Night at Work Meal Beef Neck Bones w Pasta
So as you all know I made delectable Jamaican style Turkey Neckbones also known as ghetto oxtails.
My other half loved them in taste, his words were they slapped…but they are def harder to eat than real beef oxtails and not nearly as much meat.
So I made this meal today because its quicker to make and eat.
First I seasoned my beef neck bones. I used an array of seasonings.
Image of Seasonings
Steak Carne seasoning
Salt
Garlic and allspice
Jack Daniel’s rub
Minced garlic
Olive oil..
I seared them for about 3 min each side then covered them along with sliced sweet peppers and placed in oven on 250 for 2 hours.
NOW I do also suggest the alternatively using a slow cooker or a pressure cooker to make them as well depending on the result you want. When I redo this I will def use a pressure cooker. I also love pressure cooking my ribs for BBQ before putting them on the grill.
While that was happening I made a base to add to the tomato sauce
I blended green tomatoes
Red tomatoes
White onion
Shallot.
Garlic
Olive oil
Balsamic vinegar..
Then I poured into pan.
Added one can tomato paste
2 cans of Hunts spaghetti sauce
And more minced garlic
Simmer than on low for 2 hours
Next cook the spaghetti and drain
Once the sauce and meat are finished
Let the meat rest for 15 min to seal in the juices.
Slice against the grain and also slice around the bone.
Next build the plate and garnish with
Fresh Oregano and Parsley
And there you have it.
Yum!
